Marcy Ann Lara, 45, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 9th, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Somsen, Chaplain of Trinity Regional Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Megan Woodman of Fort Dodge; step-daughter, Amanda Spect and her husband Steve of Fort Dodge; step-son, Anthony Lara and his wife Lexi of Fort Dodge; her father, Donald Woodman of Fort Dodge; 6 grandchildren, and her sister, Carolyn Michaels of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Woodman and her husband Robert J. Lara in 2011.
Marcy Ann Woodman was born on October 27, 1967, in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Marcy then attended La' James International College. For 18 years Marcy was employed at the Webster County Law Enforcement Center. On June 18, 2005, Marcy was united in marriage to her long time companion Robert J. Lara and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. She was always a hard worker who provided everything she could for her family. Marcy loved spending time with her family which was the most important thing in her life.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
