Jeffrey) Brown, of Lorain, his 12 cherished grandchildren; Amy, Jeffery, Michael, Amanda, Jonathan, Melissa, Jeffery (J.J), Alena, Jocelyn, Nathan, Alyssa, and Gabrielle, his 15 great grandchildren; Michael, Christian, Regan, Faith, Caitlin, Courtney, Lily, Emma, Anthony, Peyton, Theo, Dexter, Olivia, Eliza, and Jay, his brother, Jim Hoffman, of Winterhaven, FL, many nieces and nephews, and all of his extended family.
Rupert was preceded in death by his Dear wife of 68 years, Elizabeth (nee Costlow) in 2016, parents; Albert and Anna (nee Kick) Hoffman, and his siblings; Anna, Rose, Mary, Joseph, Agnes, Charles, Betty Jane, and Leo.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, from 1-3 pm & 5-8 pm, at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 am, also in the funeral center. His Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, where full military honors will be conducted by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard.
