years. After semi-retirement, she worked at Colorado Fasteners-Metric in Longmont until she and Bob fully retired to the "RV" life, traveling to Chewelah, Washington, and the Chicago area. Arlene made several trips in recent years to her son's home at Punta Bufeo in Baja California, Mexico, where she loved to walk the beach, sit in the sun, and absorb the peacefulness of the waves, the blue sky, and the nighttime stars. Always an excellent home chef, one of the great joys in Arlene's life was cooking and preparing gourmet recipes to share with business clients, family and friends. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed reading several books simultaneously about varied subjects such as food, politics, religion, history, science, and people. Toward the end of her life, Arlene lived with her daughter Shauna and enjoyed many hours of relaxing conversation, fine wines, and the company of good friends. In conversation, her first concerns were always regarding her loved ones rather than herself. Private cremation has been held. No formal memorial service is planned.
