Anna Christina Kenefick was born December 12, 1951, in Rochester, Minnesota, daughter of Dr. John N. and Audra A. (Snodgrass) Kenefick. Anna grew up in Algona graduating from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1970. Following graduation she moved to Madison, WI where she attended Edgewood College and graduated with a degree in Biology in December of 1975. She moved back to Algona where she worked for Iowa Lakes Community College as a proctor for 17 years. Anna enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting, and visiting Disney Epcot. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church.
Anna died Monday, April 8, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Bancroft. She was 67.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Kenefick of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, friend and caregiver for the last 8 years, Lori Sewick; and many other family members and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lt. Stephen Kenefick who was killed in the Vietnam War in 1965 and Thomas Kenefick.
A graveside service for Anna will be held at a later date.
