Alberta enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking, trying new recipes, embroidery and traveling.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Ann (John) Shurtz of Mason City, son, Jerald (Myrna) of Albert Lea, MN and daughter-in-law, Julie Montag of Rockford; grandchildren: Jacqueline (Al) Attig, Jonathon (Anna) Montag, Clayton (Cassie) Shurtz, Gregory, Ana and Jeffrey Shurtz; step-granddaughter, Callie (Dana) Hillman; great-grandchildren: Alana and Ailey Attig, Colton and Claire Shurtz and Macy and Parker Montag; step-great-granddaughters, Hannah and Harper Hillman; brother, Nicholas (Mary Jo) Paulus; sisters, Mary Paulus and Barbara Bass and sister-in-law, Sharon Paulus.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald; parents; son, David; brothers, Joseph, Lawrence and Paul; sister-in-law, Rita Paulus and brother-in-law, Eldon Bass.
