James "Jimmy" Samuel Hunter, age 49, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. He was born in Muskegon, MI, on August 20, 1969, to Paul & Janet (Schockett) Hunter and graduated from Mona Shores High School. He married the former Julie Ginman on October 14, 1995. Jimmy was an Owner and Financial Manager for West Shore Medical and had been a Realtor for Chrystal-Anderson. Jimmy was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, Muskegon Jaycees where he did numerous events for the Child Abuse Counsel and Mona Lake Boating Club. He loved cars, Mona Shores Football, NASCAR, reality tv, (especially Live PD) and music. In recent years he became a fan of country music much to our surprise! Most of all, Jimmy loved being with his family, especially his wife Julie! Jimmy was most proud in his life of his two children Gavin Paul and Aleigha Rose. Jimmy had a huge family and extended family in which he loved being with and we loved being with him! Wife and the love of his life of 23 years, Julie; son, Gavin Hunter; daughter, Aleigha Hunter; parents, Janet & Paul "Skip" Hunter; sisters, Robin (Spiro) Michals, Jennifer (Kim Hunt) Hunter, Kelly (Brent) Farrington, Katie Hunter, Jillian Hunter; aunts & uncles, Barbara Reed, Nancy (Butch) Nelson, Alan Hunter; mother-in-law, Willy Ginman; brothers & sisters-in-law, Bill Ginman, Scott (Cristi) Ginman, Elaine (Joe) O'Connor, Tom Ginman, Chuck (Kate) Ginman, Robert Ginman, Karen (Thomas Knowlton) Ginman; Jimmy had many, many nieces & nephews. We would list them all, but to date there are 25 and it would take up the whole paper! In addition to his family, he had so, so many friends. There are too many to list but you know who you are. We would like to mention Jimmy's best friend Doug Keller of over 20 plus years! Their friendship meant the world to him.
