Mrs. Shirley Eileen Almond, age 81, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018. She was born in Hicksville, OH on November 6, 1937 to Samuel & Florence (Fry) Miller and married Ken Almond. Mrs. Almond had been an Owner and CEO Almond Industries until retiring. Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church and it's Sarah Circle, Viking Linne Lodge, Chamber of Commerce Women's Division, the Muskegon Rotary Club and was currently a Queen Mother of the Red Hat Society. She kept busy volunteering at Hackley Hospital and Every Women's Place and still had time to travel all over the world.

Daughters, Kelly Church of TX, Nadine (Roger) Dexter of Muskegon, Gwen (David) Chrulski of OH; grandchildren, Heather (Daniel) Burdick, Jennifer (Matthew) Irwin, Melinda (John) Chacon, Sara Sherwood, Alecia (A.J.) Larabee, Kenneth Chrulski; great grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Caleb, Nathan, Thomas & August; sister, Dale Miller. She was preceded in death by husband, Ken Almond in 1989 and sister, Janice Shafer in 1985.
