Raymond E. Elkins, 77, of North Fort Myers, FL passed away November 2, 2018 at The Palms of Punta Gorda. He was born April 30, 1941 in Dayton, KY and moved to Florida in 1987.
He retired from Delta Airlines in 1994 as a Supervisor but continued to work for Lee County toll facilities for another 10 years. He was a very social person and would do anything for his friends and family. He was always full of jokes, a bit of sarcasm, a smile and laugh like no other. He loved the Florida sunshine and spent many years boating on Dale Hollow Lake, TN, where his ashes will be spread.
He is survived by his daughter Holly Elkins, son Bryon (Cindy) Elkins, and grandson Nolan Ray Elkins. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Carol Elkins, his mother Fannie Morton, father Deward Elkins, and brother Jerome Elkins.
His Celebration of Life will be held at Dale Hollow Lake in the spring of 2019. In lieu of flowers please consider donating in his memory to Hydrocephalus Association, www.hydroassoc.org.
