nd had a Little Sister of her own for many years who she spent time with on a regular basis. Van joined Greater Northwest in 2006 where she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ by acknowledging he died on the cross for her sins and rose from the dead three days later. Van enjoyed interacting with her church congregation and she also loved being a part of the Senior Saints ministry. Van enjoyed sewing, cooking and snuggling up with a good book. Van was always ready to show someone how to color coordinate their closet and organize any and everything they had in their home. Van Miller departed her life on October 14, 2018 at 12:45 a.m.; she was 82 years old. Her wisdom, her beautiful smile and the loving impact she made on others will be dearly missed. Van was preceded in death by two brothers; Clarence "Sug" Sumler, Robert Sumler and a sister; Vernetta "Bea" Petty all of Indianapolis, Indiana. Van leaves to cherish her loving memory: Her son, Brent J. Miller, her daughter whom she always referred to as her "best friend" Janet Lynne Davidson (husband, Brian), her granddaughter's and great granddaughter's: Amber Lynne Miller (Solana Ashley Miller) of Dallas, Texas, Britteny Alexis Davidson (Kamora Annie Montgomery) of Indianapolis, Indiana, her sisters from Chicago, Illinois: Ruth Simmons. Delois Holt, Shirley Watkins, Barbara Martin, Diana Watson, Lawana Sumler-Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
