n May 1, 1971 he was united in marriage to Nedra Rossman. The couple first lived in Sioux City and then made their home in Fort Dodge. Nick was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 33 years. He was a member and past president of the Branch 645, National Association of Letter Carriers, and loved his brothers and sisters in blue as family. Nick was very involved in the Golden K Kiwanis, Saint Edmond School, and his community. Nick started life as a Yankees fan before learning the error of his ways, and began his love of the Chicago Cubs. Always a fan of the underdog, Nick's patience and "wait 'til next years" were rewarded in 2016 with a Cubs World Series win. Canada trips with family and friends were cherished above all, and he would encourage anyone to spend time with those you love, even if it's just casting a line. Always tell those you love, that you love them. His joys were his children and grandchildren. In his eyes, they can do no wrong. Memorials may be left to the Paula J.
