. During the years that followed, they opened a successful shoe business in their local community, which gained fame among many loyal customers. After raising their children, the couple beat the heat, and moved to San Diego in 1976. The family traveled to, and lived in, several California locations before Jack was diagnosed at the young age of 52 with cancer and passed away in Sacramento, in 1989. Norma later moved to San Jose, California to be close to her daughter Kathy; son-in-law, Edward; eldest and only granddaughter, Natalie; and, grandson, Brian. Her son, Kevin, lives in Maryland with his wife, Takayo, and her two grandsons, Clinton and Clark. As a devoted Christian, Norma placed highest importance in her faith and family. During her free time, she enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, traveling, and spending time with her Maltese dog and two parrots. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who were blessed by her nurturing love and never ending faith. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304, with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
