who worked with Joanne. They were united in marriage on May 11, 1962 in Mason City. Joanne and Bud never had children of their own; however, they thought of their nieces and nephews as their own. One special nephew, Bryan, was always there to take care of them and has a very special place in their hearts.
She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, making Christmas ornaments, baking and cooking. Joanne also enjoyed spoiling her two great special nieces. She will be remembered for being a social butterfly and talking your ear off on the phone.
Joanne will be remembered by her husband, Bud Symes of Mason City; nephew, Bryan (Ashley) Wilson of Council Bluffs; five sisters in-law, Reta Klipping, Linda (Gordon) Wilson, Evelyn Connell, Judy (Erv) Moritz and Joyce (Tony) Colombo; Hannah, Harper Wilson, along with many extended nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Edna Klipping; twelve siblings, Raymond Klipping, Orville Klipping, Mary Church, Helen Hill, Pearl Eliason, Gerry Andries, Beatrice Horecka, Robert Klipping, James Klipping, Richard Klipping, Marvin Klipping and Donald Klipping.
