r surroundings. However, they wisely spent most winters in Sun City, AZ where they enjoyed the gorgeous weather.Ron enjoyed motorcycling, photography, golf, computers and especially traveling. Ron and Andi purchased an RV, and in addition to traveling in the US and Canada, took an epic trip down the Mexican Baja Peninsula. Memories of that adventure helped sustain him through his illness. He also became interested in beekeeping in Spring Green and kept bees for several years; he marveled at the sweetness of the fresh honeycomb. Ron echoed that sweetness in his interactions with others: he was a generous and loving man. He is survived by his wife, Andrea; his children, Misty (Glen) Hermes of Keller, TX; Carl Davis of Fort Worth, TX; Robert Salas of Madison, WI; Ashley (Jacquelyn) Anderson-Freund of St. Paul, MN; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Salas; five grandchildren; brother, Harold (Karen) Davis of Quiet Dell, WV; and sister, Donna (Lowell) Moore of Parsons, WV. He was a large and loving presence in our lives and will be forever missed. An intimate family remembrance has been held. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that everyone honor Ron's memory simply by appreciating life and treating everyone as a friend with kindness and humor, as he did.
