Howard K. Patton, 90, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 21 at Pinnacle Specialty Care, Cedar Falls. He was born December 14, 1927 in Burlington, son of Orein and Louella Kyle Patton. He married Marlis Gwyreath October 5, 1961 in Waterloo. She died June 28, 1999. Howard served with the US Army, as a helicopter mechanic for 20 years, retiring in 1967. He was employed with the city of Waterloo at City Hall. Howard was a member of the Evansdale Amvets Post 31 and Waterloo Lodge 105 AF&AM. Survived by special friends, Marjory and Steven Stubberud of Waterloo. Preceded in death by his wife. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19, Evansdale Amvets Post 31 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
