Dorothy Baker, age 94, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab (formerly Blair House) where she had lived the past three years.
Dorothy Mae (Lee) Baker was born February 21, 1924 in rural Wayne Township, Henry County, Iowa to Herbert and Mabel (Beauchamp) Lee. She graduated from Winfield Consolidated School, Winfield, Iowa, with the class of 1941.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Keith H. Baker at Kahoka, Missouri on June 14, 1941. Two children were born to this marriage, Joyce and Larry.
Dorothy worked at Sylvania and retired from F&M Bank, Burlington. She was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church and Golden Oldies. She enjoyed doing crafts and entered many craft shows. She was very fond of red cardinals, which was evident in her home décor and the many cardinal sweatshirts she wore.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Keith, parents, sister, Louise Beaman, brother Ivan Lee, daughter-in-law Suzie Baker and grandson John Baker.
