rst Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg where she served as a Ruling Elder, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and volunteered on numerous church committees. Sandra enjoyed many hobbies including scrapbooking, making quilts for her grandchildren and reading. A great joy for her was having her grandchildren visit for a week each summer. She is survived by her husband, Bill of Williamsburg; sons Tim (Amy) Hynds of Sioux City and Robert Hynds of Coralville; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan of Sioux City; brother Robert (Nancy) Stephenson of Trappe, Maryland; two sisters Cindy Knakal of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Mary (Don) Constantin of Charleston, South Carolina and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, George Knakal. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff of Highland Ridge Care Center, Iowa City Hospice and to Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for the care Sandra received. In lieu of flowers, Sandra requested memorials to First Presbyterian Church of Williamsburg's youth mission trip fund, Iowa City Hospice or Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
