of his two grandchildren quickly became known quite affectionately by family and his many friends as "Big Daddy"- the name given him by his grandkids. He was a big, joyous, loving man with many friends who showed wonderful support for him during his prolonged illness.
Golf became a passion for both Nancy and Keith's early on in their married lives and remained so all these years. Sunny afternoons would find them on the course playing golf with other couples or preparing for the numerous tournaments they both played in and thoroughly enjoyed. The Franklin's were long standing members of Ridglea Country Club where Keith served a term on the board. After Keith's retirement both he and Nancy traveled extensively playing as many courses as they could.
Landscaping was a particular interest of Keith's and he took exceptional pride in his yard where he planted numerous and various shrubs, plants and trees making his home a beautiful place for all to see and enjoy.
When not on the golf course one would find him cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers.
