on Center Manager for Earl May Seed and Nursery Company for 40 years. Keith was a member of the Fremont Evangelical Covenant Church, later transferring his membership to the Faith Covenant Church in Essex. After retiring from Earl May, Keith remained active. He especially enjoyed gardening and was well known for his gooseberries, farm grown peaches and homemade ground horseradish. Keith mowed lawns and shoveled snow for neighbors and businesses until the age of 81. He especially enjoyed his nieces, nephews, extended family and Arlene's puppies, Frankie and Abbey. Keith was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle, parents, step-father Ralph Kohler; five brother-in-laws, Leonard, Wesley, Vernon and Delbert Lundgren and John Wilcox, Sr; four sister-in-laws, Harriett Wilcox, Laurine, Phyllis and Hazel Lundgren; nephew Gordon Lundgren and one great nephew Jamie Wilcox. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Arlene Y. Greever of Lincoln, sister Nadine Lundgren of Essex, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of good friends and neighbors. Keith passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the age of 89 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. His death came only 2 months after his beloved wife Myrtle died in Shenandoah on March 7, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Faith Covenant Church in Essex, Iowa. Burial with complete military rites will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church 30 minutes prior to services. Memorials may be directed to People For Paws or The Shenandoah Ambulance Service.
