angelical United Brethren Country Church. They moved to Mason City in 1959, where the family business Aer-Vac was created.
They had one daughter, Suzette in 1958 and one son Danny in 1962.
The family made many trips to California to visit Don's parents and sister and Evelyn's sister Ruth and family. In 1974 the family took a month-long trip, which Evelyn planned out. They went to the World's Fair in Spokane, spent time with her brother Roger (Lee) and family in Seattle, saw the space needle, the redwoods, sequoias, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland and many other sights.
After Don's death in 1984, Evelyn managed and was very active in Aer-Vac with the help of family until is closed in 2002.
Evelyn enjoyed her trips to Waverly, Shell Rock and Columbia, MO to spend time with family. She enjoyed every opportunity spent with her family and friends. She always referred to them as Precious Moments.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling with relatives and friends. She had the opportunity to go to Canada, China, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Alaska, Hawaii, and many more places in the United States.
Evelyn loved to watch baseball. She was a longtime dedicated fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, where the family made many trips to watch them play. She loved to collect anything that had Cardinals on it. She was always very excited to receive or find a new item she did not have. At one time we counted over 200 cardinals before giving up.
Evelyn was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was one of the charter members when it was formed. She knew her life was in God's hands- even towards the end she expressed that several times. While in the hospital she was always smiling and blowing kisses to everyone that came into her room.
The family would like to thank all the people at Mercy Medical Center (especially in Critical Care) and at Heritage Care Center for everything they did for Evelyn. You went above and beyond.
