long term kidney disease. In 2011, "the gift of life" miracle kidney transplant occurred. This new lease for life resulted in seven more wonderful years. Vi loved UW events, especially UW basketball and football. Her favorite travel was southwest Florida to shorten winter and enjoy the beaches, Everglades Board Walk, and the sunsets. Vi's favorite city to visit was San Francisco. The most tearful regret is no future hugs from her three granddaughters and never to hear the giggle of granddaughter No. 4 coming October 2018. Vi's selflessness, love for everyone, and strong faith in God was instilled in her family. She lived Matthew 22 verse 37-40: "Love the Lord... love your neighbor as yourself."
Vi is survived by her husband, Warren; daughter, Jolene (Todd) Endres; son, Todd (Jennifer) Schomberg; granddaughters, Taryn Endres, Morgan Endres and Reese Schomberg; and mother-in-law, Lorene Schomberg.
Vi was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eleanor Bohn; and father-in-law, Willard Schomberg.
