(Richard) Martin, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several beloved and devoted nephews, nieces, and cousins. Julian was an active member of the Westview Christian Church. He was also an Eagle Scout and worked with prospective scouts as a sponsor. With his warm and outgoing disposition, he always enjoyed visiting with family and friends. His collection of friends never stopped expanding, as he made a point to meet and visit with someone new whenever and wherever the opportunity presented itself. In his later years Julian demonstrated a gift for writing, publishing several articles and two books, the first on his WWII experiences and the second on growing up in St. Paul, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00am -12:00pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Crown Hill Funeral Home 700 W. 38th St. Indianapolis. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm.
