nd corny jokes. Ken was an accountant by trade and enjoyed doing taxes for friends and family. Ken worked for McDonnell-Douglas from 1967-1987. For several years, he operated his own accounting firm, James Accounting & Tax Service. His last job was with Save a Day Laundry, where he retired at age 80 after 20 years of service. Ken was a proud member of American Legion, Post 338 of Overland, Missouri, serving as honor guard at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for several years. He was also a member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey James, of Redlands, California; a daughter, Diane James, of Florissant, Missouri; a sister, Ruth Reist, of Muscatine; a brother, Robert James, of Peoria, Illinois; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leda; five brothers; and four sisters.
