he National Farmers Organization (NFO), the Mariposa Grange and he served as Baxter School Board President. He and his brother Art also manned the sidelines on the Baxter High School football chain gang for over 45 years. Armin loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially family gatherings to eat lots of delicious food and watch sports together! Also important to Armin were his daily devotions, as well as the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Minnesota Twins and crossword puzzles. In his retirement, a highlight of his day was having coffee every morning at Doug's Feeds with all of his friends. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 62 years, Erika; children Peggy (Mark) Pavelka, Kevin (Mary) Krampe, Paulette (Bhaskar) Bailey, and Carmen (Joe) Nugent; grandchildren Christopher (Emily) Krampe, Kelly (Jamesa) Krampe, Alex Bailey, Joseph Pavelka, Jeffrey Pavelka, Emma Nugent, Raymond Nugent; great-grandchildren Hayden Krampe, Kinley Krampe, Armin Krampe, Ana Krampe; sisters Alice Robinson, Marge (Ed) Frohbieter and Edith (George) Allspach; sister-in-laws Vera Krampe and Gisela (Kurt) Brunner; brother-in-law Herbert (Paulette) Suffel, and many nieces and nephews. Armin was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Alan, twin brother Arthur, mother-in-law Emma Holzapfel, father-in-laws Otto Suffel and Otto Holzapfel, sister Joanne Tipton, and brother-in-laws Gerald "Gunny" Robinson, Dale Tipton, and Dick Albee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Bethany United Church of Christ. Fredregill Family Funeral Home in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of Armin and his family.
