Farragut School system for over 20 years. Vivian's greatest joy was her family and caring for them was her top priority. She loved photography, cooking and baking. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, Christmas goodies, jam and jellies. She was an accomplished seamstress and created most of her children's clothing. Vivian is survived by her 7 children, daughter Jayne (Gary) Harter of Ida Grove, IA and sons Charles (Vicki) of Lenexa, Kansas, Jon of Gulf Breeze, Florida, David (Jacque) of Shenandoah, IA, Scott (Jamie) of Springfield, NE, Mark (Laurie) of The Woodlands, TX and Christopher (Liz) of West Des Moines, IA. 22 Grandchildren Todd (Angie) Kollbaum, Heidi (Bart) Nieuwenhuis, Sara Faas, Kevin (Jangir) Harter- Sultan, Craig (Sara) Harter, Jill (Bradd) Schulke, Jodi Savoie, Jayme (Jeff) Tam, Jacey Lashier, Nicole (Dave) Loveday, Natalie Lashier, Jennifer (Todd) Samuels, Jessica Lashier, Molly Lashier, Lindsay (Neale) Fishback, Andrew Lashier, Margaret Lashier, Chelsea (Wes) Oglesby, Caitlin (Grant) Kawata, Keenan Lashier, Courtney Lashier and Nicholas Lashier 23 Great Grandchildren Zachary (Clarissa) Kollbaum, Jordan (Steph Jane) Kollbaum, Emily, Ryan and Abigail Kollbaum ,Tyler and Tiana Collins, Oscar Faas, Alexander and Jake Harter-Sultan, Olivia and William Harter , Arana Schulke, Tyler and Stayton Savoie, Kira and Makenzie Loveday, Tate and Tenley Samuels, Frankie Lu and Leroy Fishback, Buster Lashier and Jack Kawata and Sister-in-law Celesta Jennett of San Jose, CA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Neil , her parents Elwood and Ruby, her sister Margie Loger and her grandson Bryant Lashier. Celebration of life funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. Visitation with the family will be held 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Burial will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Shenandoah.
