Belinda Hanson

Belinda Hanson, age 77, of Nevada, Iowa, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Story Medical Senior Care in Nevada. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada, with Fr. Rick Dagit officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Nevada.  Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.  Born October 5, 1940, in Delaware County, Iowa, Belinda Louise (Sutton) Hanson was the daughter of Howard Alonzo and Margaret Arminta (Meader) Sutton.  She grew up in northeast Iowa, and graduated from Delhi High School in 1959. On June 6, 1959, Belinda was united in marriage to Dwayne Leo Hanson.  The couple settled in Nevada and raised their family of five children:  Denise, Sandra, Brian, Shawn and Dustin.   Belinda was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada.  She served as office manager for the family business, V & H Ag Systems.  Survivors include her husband, Dwayne; five children, Denise (Mark) Swanson of Cambridge, Sandra (Eric) Johnston of Nevada, Brian (Leslie) Hanson of Nevada, Shawn (Keesia) Hanson of Nevada, and Dustin H...[more]
