with his father, making the family home on the 150 Acre Century Family Farm east of Braddyville. When his father passed away, they continued to live on the farm until the spring of 1999, when they had a sale and moved into Clarinda. Along with row crop of corn, hay, alfalfa and clover the family raised cows and hogs. Merlin was an 'old school farmer' who enjoyed tending the fields with his antique tractors and machinery. In their retirement years, Merlin and Jean enjoyed riding their bikes around town, stopping in for coffee here and there to enjoy their friends. They looked forward to long drives in their car, often stopping at garage sales when they came upon one. Left to cherish Merlin's memory is his loving wife of 68 years, Jean Davison of Clarinda, Iowa; Allen Davison and Linda of Maryville, Missouri; Twyla Martin and husband Tom of Maryville, Missouri; and Greg Davison and wife Kimberly of Villisca, Iowa; eleven grandchildren Chris and DeAnn Davison; Melissa and Steve Hart; Traci and Ken Garner; Andy Wiederholt and Keysa; Jeff Martin and Heather; Jessie Eggenberg and Pete; Jeff Davison and Shelby; Cody Davison; and Jessica Davison and Josh; Chelsea and Michael; Zack; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Bob Kendell and wife Phyllis, of Clarinda, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Shirley Thomas of Clarinda, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends. Preceding Merlin in death are his parents, Roy and Roene Davison; a sister, Lucille Carter and her husband Lester. The family will cherish the memory of Merlin in their hearts. May he be at peace in God's loving care. To read the full obituary, please click here: http://www.ritchiefuneralhome.com/obituaries/Merlin-Davison?obId=2852545#/obituaryInfo
