Arlin David Yoder

WILLIAMSBURG - Arlin David Yoder, 80, of Williamsburg IA, died Sunday, December 31, 2017, at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg. Arlin was born November 7, 1937 in Washington IA, to Oren and Mary Kate (Blosser) Yoder. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou, of Williamsburg; two sons, Douglas (Leann), Pryor OK, and Kevin (Rebecca), Cedar Rapids IA, as well as by five grandchildren, Christina (Stephen) Arruda, Laura (Chris) Paul, Nathan (Katherine) Yoder, Leah (Jon) Arnold, Zach (Rachel) Yoder; nine great grandchildren; two brothers Eldon (Phyllis) Yoder, Wellman IA, Darvin (Martha) Yoder, Wellman IA, and a sister Aldeen (Eugene) Wenger, Harrisonburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and two great grandsons Noah and Simon. Arlin and Mary Lou were Missionaries in Brazil for 15 years with Mennonite Mission Network. He pastored churches in Missouri, Arkansas, Brazil, Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, January 8, 2018 at the West Union Mennonite Church in rural Parnell. Pastor Marcia Yoder-Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Memorial gifts may be given to Mennonite Central Committee or Association of Mennonite Benevolence (AMB), which promotes dignity and Life in Jesus. (Brazil).
