Marvin Joseph Berry, 74, of Montrose, IA passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017 in Montrose Health Center, Montrose, IA.
Joe was born in Keokuk, IA on June 30, 1943 the son of Melvin Lester and Virginia Helen Howell Berry. He lived most of his life in the Keokuk area. He served in the United States Armed Forces. He worked for Shelman Sons Trucking until retiring in 2004. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Keokuk. Marvin enjoyed fishing, drawing, camping, telling stories and the fireworks on the 4th of July.
Joe is survived by his daughter Amber Jo Berry of Keokuk, IA and son Michael James (Rhonda) Meinhardt of Bradenton, FL, one brother Jerry Lee Berry of North Liberty, IA and three nephews Jeremy, Johnathon and Joshua Berry.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and Marvin "Uncle Benny" Berry and special cousin Margie Jean, a niece Leslie and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of his Life will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street in Keokuk with Marylyn Curtis officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites at Keokuk National Cemetery.
