In retirement he enjoyed woodworking and made many grandfather clocks and assorted furniture for his children and grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters, Betsy (Jim) Ahner, Evansville, Jennifer Sasseen, Seattle, WA, Kristine (Mark) Gostisha, Land O Lakes, Karen (Jeff) Braatz, Bryant, Sara (Robert) Arrowood, Antigo; three sons, Tom Koss, Bryant, Richard (Cindy) Koss, Antigo, Andrew Koss, Antigo; 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Filbrandt, Madison; two brothers, Stephen (Grace) Koss, Antigo, Anthony (Doris) Koss, Harvard, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Marion Koss, Deerbrook. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Michelle Koss, a son-in-law, William Sasseen, a great-grandson; four sisters, Blanche (Phil) Kafka, Mary (Joe, Sr.) Novak, Edna (John) Piela, and Juliana Koss; a brother, Vernon Koss, a brother-in-law, Jerome Filbrandt, The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church, with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in the parish Cemetery where Antigo Veterans will conduct military honors. Visitation will be 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. A parish wake service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday and the Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday all at the funeral home.
