Virginia "Ginny" Wendorf, 86, of Burlington, died 5:26 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Born on December 11, 1930 in Oak Park, Illinois she was the daughter of David and Bernice (Tolley) Stineback.
She earned her B.S. and B.A. at Roosevelt University and the University of Illinois. She was a proud member of Alpha Phi, Beta Alpha 1953.
Ginny was a Certified Public Accountant and was the manager of financial reporting and analysis for the Chicago Transit Authority until her retirement in 1993. She served as chair of the Burlington City Planning Commission.
She was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma. She loved playing bridge, golfing and traveling and was an avid reader. She was a woman of intelligence, wit and substance.
Survivors include her three children; Cody Moran of Las Vegas, NV, Tom (Bonnie) Wendorf of Bartlett, IL and Patty (Armen) Kholamian of Barrington, IL; five grandchildren, Erin, Kathleen, David, Henry and Nathan and two great grandchildren, Georgia and William.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Joanne.

h at the Burlington Golf Club. The Rev. JudyAnn Morse will officiate. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
