unting, fishing, trapping, canoeing, gardening and canning. He also enjoyed boating and pulling grandkids tubing at Black Hawk Lake. He loved to tinker in his shop and built gifts each Christmas for his children and grandchildren. His ability to fix things was nearly limitless. Friends always knew the coffee (or Old Mil) was ready when he was at the shop and he was known as "Mr. Fix It". Larry had a heart of gold and sacrificed unselfishly in his quiet and humble way. There isn't anyone in need that he wouldn't go out of his way to help.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Myrna (Bob); brother-in-law, George; and foster granddaughter, Gabby. Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; his children, Alan; David (Julie); Laurie (Richard); Lorina (Jeffrey); Paul (Kathleen); and Lynette (Chris); his grandchildren, McKaylee, McKenzie, Brian, Matthew, Sarah, Lauren, Austin, Jordan, Christian, Gregory, Carly, Jacob, Zachary, Benjamin, Luke, Taylor, Tyler, Trevor and Treyton; five great-grandchildren with two more on the way; Tiffany, who helped care for him up to his death; his siblings, Donald (Marcia); Barbara; and Daniel (Kathy); numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
