James Perin, 74, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1943 in Mariemont, Ohio to Everet and Violet Perin. Jim moved to Englewood in 1956 where his dad started Perin's Barber Shop. Jim graduated from Venice High School in 1962 and shortly after joined his father in the family business serving the Englewood community until his retirement in 2016. In 1964, Jim married his junior high school sweetheart, Jane, and they had two sons, Steve and Rob. Jim was a charter member of both the Englewood Jaycee's and Englewood Kiwanis clubs and served as president of the Englewood Kiwanis Club in 1974.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Violet Perin and sister Betty Shook. Jim is survived by his wife, Jane; sister Peggy (Ed) Woods; sons Steve (Chris) Perin, and Rob (Jen) Perin; grandchildren Tony, Justin, Meghan, and Noelle Perin; and great-grandaughter Madelyn Perin.
Visitiation will be held at Englewood Event Center Sat. Nov. 11, 2017 from 1-2 pm with services immediately following.
