Penny Joanne Wallace, 64, of Burlington, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital.
Born March 11, 1953, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Eugene and Margaret (Rappenecker) Hobbs. She married David A. Wallace on July 8, 1995 in Burlington.
Mrs. Wallace was a Master Social Worker for 10 years. She held positions at O'Rourke Group and other agencies.
She was of the Christian faith.
Penny enjoyed family, crafts, quilting, sewing, crocheting and diamond painting. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1971, and was a member of The National Honor Society. She also went on to attain a Bachelor's of Science degree from Western Illinois University and a Master's Degree of Social Work at St. Ambrose.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Chad (Julie) Geren of Olathe, KS and Dan (Kasi) Geren II of Burlington; One sister, Jeannette (Gary) Bauer of Burlington; One brother, Jim Hobbs of PA; and 4 Granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Lonnie and Danny.
The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Wallace will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded.
