s. One of the special duties she later had as a Deaconess was to call on new mothers who returned home with their newborns. This often established relationships which, over the years, continued from generation to generation. Bettie was a born-again Christian who served the Lord in many ways. Her gifts of hospitality and service were evident throughout her life and were blessings to many. She and Bill were charter members of Graceway Fellowship, a Southern Baptist church in Green Bay. Bettie and Bill also loved to travel and did so extensively throughout North America and Europe while health permitted. Bettie is survived by two sons - Robert (Brenda) Pfeil and David (Jeri) Pfeil, both of De Pere; two granddaughters, Kristine Pfeil of Menomonee Falls and Kathleen (Daniel) Weisman of Minneapolis; a great-grandson, William Pfeil Weisman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Bill in December 2016, her parents, one sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Raymond Steiner and brother-in-law, Glenn Pfeil. A celebration of Bettie's life will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rick Schulze of Graceway Fellowship officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be given to ASPIRO or Unity Hospice of Green Bay.
